"A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING"  

by Malcolm Campbell , Commercial Director, The Woolmark Company, Ilkley.

Malcolm’s talk will be informative and entertaining.

Mr Malcolm Campbell is Commercial Director of the The Woolmark Company since May, 2002. He is one of the wool-textile industry's most experienced managers and one of its most passionate advocates working closely with retailers and manufacturers. Mr Malcolm Campbell is campaigning to re-establish wool as a high-value fibre for premium-priced apparel. He has been awarded Fellowship of the Textile Institute, Society of Dyers and Colourists and The Royal Society of Arts.

It is common knowledge that China's WTO entry in 2005 and vast manufacturing base is having a dramatic effect on international trade and manufacturing. How does this affect the UK's textile and clothing industry?

Trevor Robson, Managing Director of Texconi and international advisor to the textile industry on company restructuring, balanced sourcing and mentor/coaching has been involved with China for a decade and spent three years advising the Chinese government in upgrading their industry in preparation for WTO entry.

In recent years he has advised 15 UK companies on setting up subsidiaries, joint ventures, sourcing and selling into China and will share his experience and advice during his talk.
