    Welcome to The Textile Institute Website
 
The Textile Institute is a unique organisation in textiles, clothing and footwear. It was incorporated in England by a Royal Charter granted in 1925 and is a registered charity. The Institute has individual and corporate members in up to 80 countries, the membership covers all sectors and all disciplines in textiles, clothing and footwear. Within the global textiles, clothing and footwear industries the aim of the Institute is to facilitate learning, to recognise achievement , to reward excellence and to disseminate information.

  • The Textile Institute is sad to announce the death of Mr Don West CText FTI who passed away on Friday 13 November 2009. Mr West was a great supporter and valued member of the Institute originally joining in 1971. He held many high profile positions within the Institute including Regional President of Asia, Chairman of The Textile Institute Hong Kong Section for over 10 years and a Member of Council

  • Manchester and Cheshire Section and Sustainable,Environmental and Ethical Special Interest Group are presenting: "The Sustainable Way". Wednesday, 2 December 2009.
